Email Marketing Is Not Dead


Email marketing continues to be one of the best ways to keep in touch with your mailing list, whether they are consumers or wholesale accounts.

Consumers: If you have a Tasting Room, encourage visitors to sign up for your email list onsite. Then regularly send them information on your products, events and promotions, whether or not you can sell to them directly or not. If they are engaged, they will seek out your product first when visiting the liquor store or restaurant, so make sure you stay on their radar even after they leave your premises. Note: also include an eNewsletter signup button front and center on your website so it can be easily found and used.

Wholesale accounts: Want to maintain your placement in the local liquor store? Want the staff to continue to promote your product to customers? There is no better way to get information into the hands of restaurants and retailers than through email. You can update them constantly with product information, give them tasting notes and POS information easily and educate them on why your brand is unique and interesting. Onsite visits can be time-consuming and costly – in between visits, make sure they don’t forget about you.

Set up a calendar for both B2C and B2B email campaigns centered around product releases. Focus on what make your brand unique – is it limited production? High quality? The names of your product? Whatever it may be, you have a great opportunity to stay at the top of the minds of everyone who likes your brand!
