2018 - The Year of Digital Marketing

Make 2018 the year you begin marketing to your customers – both consumers and trade partners. You can strengthen your brand by regular communications with those who are interested in what you are doing.

Set a schedule. Make a plan to send one email a month to all your lists. Talk about new products, accolades for existing products, new innovations in the cellar or special upcoming events. It doesn’t matter what you relate – just make sure it is interesting and relevant.

Track your results. Use an email campaign program that will give you statistics on open rates, clickthrough rates, bounces and unsubscribes. By evaluating that key information, you can tell what your customers are interested in. Experiment with subject lines, do some A/B testing and evaluate what works.

Work your social media. If you haven’t started on social media, make 2018 the year to start. Begin with one or two platforms until you get the hang of it and know your resource limitations. Facebook and Twitter are the best places to start – make the messages interesting, relevant and consistent.

Tune up your website. Now is a great time to evaluate your website and make any changes or updates. Make sure you have an analytics program that allows you to see where your traffic is coming from and what your online visitors are viewing.
